Swansea boss Paul Clement has revealed that he is unsure whether Everton target Gylfi Sigurdsson will remain at his team next season.
The 27-year-old Sigurdsson’s impressive form from last season has led to interest from Leicester and Everton and though Swansea are reportedly holding out for nothing less than £50 million, Clement did admit that he does not know whether the player will be part of his squad next season.
Clement said of the situation, “He is a player here at the moment. We are not sure whether he is going to be here for this season. If another club comes up with the right valuation, according to us, then it would be a different matter possibly.”
A transfer of Sigurdsson is very much on the cards this summer. The Iceland international will know that Everton are a progressing team which can also offer him the prospect of Europa League action and therefore a move will surely be appealing.
