According to reports, French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have not given up in their hopes to lure Moussa Sissoko from Tottenham.
After failing to impress during his first season in North London, Spurs are allowing Sissoko, whom they paid £30 million for, to leave the club.
Sissoko is also said to be keen on leaving the club as well as he looks to play more regularly in order to try and secure his place in the France squad for the 2018 World Cup.
Marseille are hoping to have a deal finalized by the end of the transfer window though it is thought that they are eyeing an initial loan deal.
Marseille have already done business with Mauricio Pochettino’s side this summer as they secured the signature of Clinton Njie for £6 million. He had previously spent time with the club on loan.
Though Sissoko has failed to play regularly for Spurs, he has retained his place in the France squad but that said, he will need to play regularly next season if he wants to feature in the 2018 World Cup.
