According to reports, both Chelsea and Everton are interested in signing Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace.
Though Everton have completed the signings of Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney, they will need to replace their top goal scorer from last season Romelu Lukaku who joined Manchester United recently.
In addition to Benteke, the Toffees are also said to be monitoring Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Roma star Edin Dzeko.
The 26-year-old Benteke left Liverpool to link up with Palace last summer for £27million. After enduring a miserable spell in Merseyside, he played well last season and had a key role in helping Palace avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the Belgian international as they look for alternative options up front to Diego Costa and it will be interesting to see if Everton are able to compete with the Premier League champions in the market.
Palace will however be reluctant to part ways with their prized asset and should they do so, it will have to be for a high price.
