Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are currently involved in talks to try and sign him.
Whilst discussing the transfer speculation, Foyth claimed that his agent and Estudiantes club president Juan Sebastian Veron had travelled to England to discuss a possible transfer.
The 19-year-old Foyth, who represented Argentina at the under 20 World Cup, said, “I know that my agent and Veron are travelling to speak with Tottenham. I am feeling relaxed. I would like to play in Europe, and if something comes up that convinces me and the club I will go.”
A transfer now looks very much on the cards. Foyth has indicated a desire to play in Europe and Spurs will be looking to clinch a deal at this stage, especially considering that there is a good chance that the value of the player could balloon over the coming years as he continues his rapid development.
