Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that he expects FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves to join his club this summer.
After falling down the pecking order at Porto last season, Neves has been linked with a £15.8 million move to Wolves this summer.
Neves is highly rated and will no doubt be a good addition to the Wolves side, who are aiming to challenge for promotion to the Premier League next season. In 2015, Neves became the youngest captain in Champions League history when he led Porto against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Regarding the potential deal, Nuno told BBC Midlands Today, “Ruben is a very good player who can bring new things to our squad. I know him well, I worked with him last year [as Porto manager].
“When a player who is 18-years-old is captain of a big team like Porto, in the Champions League, it says a lot.”
Despite being 20, Neves has a considerable amount of experience under his belt and has made 67 senior appearances for Porto, scoring nine goals in the process.
