According to reports, Newcastle United are one of the club’s that are interested in signing Hull City star Sam Clucas.
Hull were relegated from the Premier League last season and despite this, Clucas delivered some promising performances and was awarded the club’s player of the year award. As a result, many even called for him to be awarded a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
However, the Magpies are likely to face competition from the likes of Leicester City, West Brom and Burnley should they wish to recruit the player.
Manager Rafa Benitez has made it no secret that he wishes to strengthen his squad ahead of the Premier League next season and his club could table an offer in the region of £8-10 million for the services of Clucas.
A move away from the KCOM Stadium will surely appeal to the 26-year-old Clucas, considering that it will allow him to extend his stay in the Premiership.
