According to reports, Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe is expected to rejoin Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 24-year-old Afobe left Wolves to join Bournemouth in January 2016 for a fee in the region of £8 million.
During his time with the Cherries, Afobe has scored just 10 goals though and has found himself in and out of the first team in recent times.
However, his time with Wolves produced promising results as he smashed 23 goals from 48 games for the club. A move to Wolves may be appealing to the DR Congo international considering the club’s new ownership structures as well as their renewed aspirations of launching a Premier League promotion push next season.
Popular bookmakers Skybet have also listed Wolves as 6/4 favorites to sign the striker.
Wolves have been very busy in the transfer market this summer as they look to bolster their squad. Thus far they have already signed Roderick Miranda, Barry Douglas, Ryan Bennett as well as Phil Ofuso-Ayeh.
