According to reports, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has made a second bid of £26 million for Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon.
The 28-year-old Silva is a veteran of the Lisbon team, having been a member of the squad for more than ten years and Spurs are looking to add him to their roster in order to bolster their side as they aim to challenge for major silverware next season.
The North London side had previously made a bid of £17.5 million for Silva, which was immediately rejected by Sporting. They have now submitted an improved offer of £26 million, with £4.4 million in add ons.
In addition to Silva, Spurs are also said to be interested in signing Max Meyer from Schalke, though the Bundesliga club are said to not be interested in selling for anything less than their £45 million valuation. Tottenham are also interested in signing Bournemouth striker Josh King.
