New Everton striker Henry Onyekuru has linked up with Belgian giants Anderlecht ahead of a season long loan deal with the club.
The Toffees sealed a £6.8 million deal for the youngster this week and have confirmed that he will be spending next season on loan with Anderlecht.
Onyekuru enjoyed a stellar past season with KAS Eupen in the Belgian League and finished off as joint top scorer in the division.
Ronald Koeman’s team had to beat off competition from the likes of West Ham as well as a host of other clubs in order to sign him this summer.
The Nigerian international Onyekuru is currently in Austria with Anderlecht ahead of their first game on July 22 against SV Zulte-Waregem in the Belgian Super Cup.
Everton fans will now have to wait at least until next season to see the youngster in action at Goodison Park and meanwhile, the striker will need to use the current campaign to continue developing as a player.
