According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur have been informed by Swansea that they must pay £20 million should they wish to sign Alfie Mawson.
In only his first season in the Premier League last season Mawson was impressive and assisted in helping his club survive in the Premier League.
The Swans acquired Mawson for a bargain fee from Barnsley last summer and should they sell to Spurs, they will stand to make a massive profit.
It remains to be seen if Spurs will continue their interest considering the value that Swansea have placed on the player.
Should a move go ahead, Mawson may also struggle to gain regular first team action unless Mauricio Pochettino continues to play three in defence and uses Mawson alongside Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.
Such a move will also see Mawson priced in a similar range to Roberto Soldado, Eric Lamela and Moussa Sissoko, all of whom have been disappointments.
