Eric Dier has praised his Tottenham team-mate Heung Son-Min for recovering well following a disappointing first season with the North London Club.
During his first season, Son managed just four goals from 28 appearances, which would have been naturally disappointing to fans, especially considering that he cost €30 million.
During his second season though, the performances of Son managed to improve as he scored 14 goals from 34 appearances to help his club to a second place finish in the League.
After Vincent Janssen failed in his first season at Spurs, it was arguably the South Korean international Son who provided the most support to Harry Kane in terms of scoring goals.
Dier was full of praise for his team-mate and said, “I’m really happy for him because he had a difficult time in his first season adapting to everything.
“He’s a fantastic player with a lot of quality and it’s great that last season he was able to show that, so credit to him. He kept going, kept working hard and now he’s reaping the rewards so everyone’s very happy for him.”
There is certainly no doubt that Son will aim to score more goals next season for both his teams and well as his personal development.
