Kieran Trippier has signed a new five year contract with Tottenham Hotspur which will see him stay at the club until 2022.
The 26-year-old Trippier arrived at the North London Club from Burnley in 2015 and during the past season managed to move up the ranks within the club.
During the final few weeks of last season, manager Mauricio Pochettino preferred him over Kyle Walker which has led to speculation – that as a result of not wanting to be a backup option, Walker will be joining Manchester City this summer.
During last season, Trippier made 22 appearances in all competitions and managed to contribute several assists. His displays managed to earn him a call up by Gareth Southgate to the England squad and he made his debut against France in June.
Trippier’s new contract with the Lilywhites was certainly well deserved and he will be an exciting player to watch next season.
