According to reports, Bundesliga Club Borussia Monchengladbach are preparing a £12 million bid for Tottenham flop Vincent Janssen.
Following a £17 million move from Dutch Club AZ Alkmaar to Tottenham last summer, Janssen struggled to hit the ground running and scored just six goals in all competitions from 38 matches.
Monchengladbach though, believe that Janssen has the ability to thrive at their club and are preparing a £12 million bid. This bid is likely however to be too low for Spurs, whose chairman Daniel Levy may not want to incur a loss.
The German club may argue that the price is fair considering that the player’s value dropped last season as a result of his poor displays. Janssen failed in terms of providing sufficient support to Harry Kane.
It remains to be seen whether manager Mauricio Pochettino sees Janssen as part of his plans for next season or views him as being surplus to requirements.
