According to reports, Leeds United are closing in on a deal to sign Spanish midfielder Samuel Saiz. The Whites are in advanced talks with Huesca which will see Saiz becoming the clubs second signing of this summer.
Huesca are demanding £3 million for the sale of Saiz and his sale will see former club Atletico Madrid pocketing half of the fee due to a clause in the players’ contract.
During the past season, Saiz helped Huesca to the end of season knockouts by scoring 12 goals and recording eight assists, however his club missed out on gaining promotion to the La Liga after suffering defeat at the hands of Getafe
Huesca are now resigned to losing Saiz and in addition to Leeds, Eibar, Real Betis and Alaves have all shown strong interest in wanting to sign him. There is no doubt that Saiz is a worthwhile signing for the Whites.
