Young Nigerian star Henry Onyekuru has confirmed that he has joined Everton and will be loaned out to Belgian club Anderlecht for next season.
The Toffees reportedly paid Eupen a sum of money in the region of £7 million to secure the services of Onyekuru and beat off competition from fellow English clubs West Ham and Arsenal.
The youngster confirmed the news by posting a picture of himself standing alongside a picture of the Everton logo on social media site Instagram.
The 20-year-old Onyekuru becomes Everton’s third signing off this summer following the arrivals of Jordan Pickford from Sunderland as well as Davy Klaasen from Ajax.
Onyekuru said of his move, “My loan move to Anderlecht is a good step for me and a welcome development because striking a deal is not all about the money involved.
“I am looking forward to another great season in Belgium as well as to feature in the Champions League. I hope to do more than I did last season with KAS Eupen.”
