According to reports from Germany, Tottenham Hotspur have made a £15 million offer for Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter.
The German international Ginter, who played a role in his country’s 2014 World Cup success, is reportedly wanted by Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino as he may have to deal with the departures of key defenders Kyle Walker and Danny Rose this summer.
Following the departure of Thomas Tuchel as coach of Dortmund last month, the club are reportedly willing to sell the versatile Ginter, who can operate in either defence or midfield.
Pochettino’s club have submitted their offer early as they look to beat off competition from Hoffenheim and fellow English Premiership outfit Arsenal in the race to sign the player.
Ginter will be a good addition to the Spurs side as it looks to challenge for major silverware next season.
