Trevor Sinclair has hailed Tottenham youth star Josh Onomah following the player’s impressive performances during the recent under-20 World Cup which was won by England.
The Young Lions became under champions after defeating Venezuela 1-0 during the final in South Korea. Whilst speaking about Onomah’s role for the Young Lions during their success, Sinclair admitted that he has been impressed with the youngster.
Sinclair said: “His awareness and his change of direction with the ball and his passing ability, you know sometimes you’re talking about getting in uncomfortable positions and players panic, but he doesn’t.
“He just holds them off, he knows how strong he is and his end product has been superb. I’ve been really impressed with his performance.”
While Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewis is arguably the Young Lions star of the tournament after scoring the winning goal in the final, Onomah impressed in midfield and will be exciting to watch for Spurs next season.
