Wolverhampton Wanderers managing director Laurie Darlymple has said that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has a say in all of the club’s transfer dealings.
Questions have been raised by supporters regarding whether previous managers Walter Zenga and Paul Lambert had full control over the club’s previous transfers while they were in charge.
In light of this, Darlymple has suggested that Nuno will play a major role in all transfers that concern the club and said, “There’s a recruitment structure within the club that now involves Nuno, clearly – our recruitment department here, Nuno and the owners. Everything goes past everyone, particularly the head coach.”
Wolves are expected to do a lot of chopping and changing this summer as they aim to improve upon their 15th place finishing in the Championship this past season.
The recruitment strategy of Wolves really needs improvement this summer. Last summer they made a number of signings, who have been unsuccessful at the club such as Paul Gladon, Joao Teixeira, Ola John, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Silvio.
