According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter but will face competition from German club Hoffenheim.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to sign new defenders this summer to reinforce his side especially considering that Kyle Walker is currently expected to depart the club for Manchester City, while the futures of Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld seem uncertain.
Ginter will reportedly be made available for £15 million this summer. He is both reportedly open to a new challenge as well as holding talks with manager Peter Bosz to see how he fits into the future plans of Dortmund.
The 23-year-old Ginter, who has part of the 2014 German World Cup winning side, made 42 appearances in all competitions this past season for his club and contributed one assist.
In addition to this, Spurs are also keen to making the loan deal of goalkeeper Pau Lopez permanent and are involved in talks with the player’s parent club Espanyol.
