According to reliable Journalist Tim Spiers, Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to submit a bid for Rio Ave defender Roderick Miranda next week.
Spiers wrote on social media platform Twitter, “It’s gone a bit quiet in the past few days but still expecting the Roderick Miranda deal to go through, possibly in the next week.”
The defender has reportedly attracted the interest of new Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo after helping Rio Ave finish in seventh position in the Portuguese League this past season.
During this past season, he also helped the club keep and impressive 13 clean sheets from 37 appearances in all competitions and contributed three goals to his side.
Wolves could have a huge advantage in the race to sign Miranda considering that the manager of the player, Jorge Mendes, also manages club boss Nuno. It remains to be seen how much Wolves will have to pay to lure Miranda, who has two years remaining on his current contract with Rio Ave.
