According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur will miss out on signing target Maximilian Philipp after the player has agreed terms on a deal to join German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
During the weekend, it was reported that Phillipp had said that he was still 50:50 on deciding whether to join Spurs or Dortmund, however it now appears that he has decided to join Dortmund.
Dortmund will reportedly pay SC Freiburg £17.5 million for the services of the 23-year-old Phillipp, who is said to be viewed as a replacement for Marco Reus.
Phillipp was a regular for Freiburg who finished in seventh place on the Bundesliga standings and scored nine goals this past season.
Phillipp becomes another player who Spurs are set to miss out on after Wilfred Zaha opted to remain with Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig won the race to sign talented Portuguese player Bruma.
