Though Tottenham Hotspur have been long linked with Portugal under-21 star Bruma, their interest has now appeared to have colled according to reports.
The 22–year-old is instead said to be close to be closing in on a deal with German Bundesliga high flyers RB Leipzig.
Bruma shined in the Turkey last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists from 36 appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray.
He had been the subject of reports during the January transfer window, which suggested that Spurs had been closing in on a deal to lure him to North London. However it now appears that these reports were far from true.
German outlet Kicker added that the player, his agent and the German club’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick, were analyzing the clubs training academy and stadium.
Rangnick also reportedly said, “The fact that he flew here is not the worst sign, but the player wants to let the impressions sink in.”
