Falkirk manager Peter Houston has revealed that Scottish giants Celtic once considered a bid for England and Tottenham Hotspurs young sensation Dele Alli.
Houston who was previously a scout for Celtic revealed that the club were interested in Alli but did not follow through with a move.
He said, “I used to work for a short spell at Celtic, and John Park had a list of players and Dele Alli was on that list.
“Celtic had watched him a couple of times as a youngster just after he’d managed to break through. I bet they wish they’d signed him!”
The 21-year-old Alli moved to Spurs from MK Dons in 2015 and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the brightest young talents in World football.
It would have been interesting had Alli joined Celtic. However had he done so, he probably would not have been at Parkhead for too long as so called bigger clubs would have come with bids.
