Liverpool is reportedly interested in Hull City’s left-back Andrew Robertson, according to The Independent.
Initially, Liverpool was chasing Fulham’s wonder kid Ryan Sessegnon, to solve their left-back issues, as Alberto Moreno was unable to gain Jurgen’s confidence with a poor show of defensive capability. The club immediately requires a younger, ‘all-rounded’ specialist to replace James Milner, but Sessegnon is more likely to join Tottenham, as he prefers to stay in London.
Liverpool is now tracking a number of other options, including Andrew Robertson, who seems to fit Jurgen Klopp’s criteria of young, talented players; resources he can develop for an “exciting future” at the club.
An array of great performances throughout the season and experience in the Premier League makes Andrew significantly more appealing, with a dearth of availability of skilled young left backs.
Liverpool requires solutions to their deficiencies and stability in defense is among the top priorities this summer and Andrew Robertson might just be the player they need to help shape a new robust defense.
