According to reports, Sunderland have rejected an £8 million bid for Jordan Pickford from Everton, with the Black Cats said to be valuing the young goalkeeper at a price nearly four times as much.
Everton are keen to add another goalkeeper to their ranks after both Maarten Stekelenburg and Joel Robles failed to convince that they can be long-term first choice shot-stoppers.
The Toffees’ are reportedly willing to pay £15 million for the services of Pickford but Sunderland are demanding a price closer to £30 million. Pickford is likely to leave Sunderland this summer in order to extend his stay in the Premier League.
The youngster has proved that he is a potential star of the future by receiving a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the year award and also after being called up to the England setup, though he has yet to make his full international debut.
