Everton target M’Baye Niang, who spent the second half of the season on loan with Watford from AC Milan, has said that he does not wish to play in the Premier League next season.
Niang did not have a successful loan spell with the Hornets, scoring two goals and picking up two assists from 16 appearances between January and May. The 22-year-old is now hoping to return to the Serie A to further develop his career.
The Frenchman was reportedly said to be the subject of interest from Everton, who are looking to recruit new forwards as they prepare for life without Romelu Lukaku as the Belgian international has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League Champions Chelsea.
However, it now appears that a move for Niang to the Toffees is unlikely to materialize given that he does not wish to remain in England next season. Ronald Koeman’s team will now need to look elsewhere.
