Scotland national team manager Gordon Strachan has praised Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino for bringing a new sense of anger to the club.
Though Spurs did not win any silverware this season, they have undergone a remarkable improvement over recent years and qualified for the Champions League for a second consecutive season.
Strachan said of the work Pochettino has done at Spurs, “You have to be fit. Pochettino got rid of the older guys [at Tottenham Hotspur] who would maybe stand around, and look at them now. They run all over place. He wanted them angry.”
Since taking over as manager of the club, Pochettino has transformed the team and brought out the best in younger players most notably Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
Alli was voted PFA Young Player of the year this season and is arguably one of the bet up and coming midfielders in world football, having smashed 23 goals during the past season.
