Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed claims that stars from his club could be leaving this summer. The Lilywhites have established themselves as genuine title contenders having emerged as runners up during the past two seasons.
Over recent weeks however, speculation has emerged suggesting that Kyle Walker and Eric Dier, in particular, may be leaving the North London club during the summer.
Speaking after Spurs 4-1 victory over Kitchee in Hong Kong, Pochettino said, “There’s a lot of rumours. I don’t like to talk about rumours, that is another. During the season we hear many rumours for our players and myself too. We are not worried about the situation with our players.”
Regardless of what the Argentinean Pochettino has said, it remains to be seen whether Walker will remain at Spurs next season.
Walker has dropped down the pecking order at the club during recent weeks and may be tempted by a move to Manchester City, especially as they may be able to offer him bigger wages.
