South Africa is coming off a 2-1 loss to Japan in the first matchday of the World Cup. The African side’s goal was not even scored by one of its players as Japan’s, Takehiro Tomiyasu scored an own goal. The encounter was even as possession was split down the middle and both teams had plenty of scoring opportunities. South Africa was unlucky in that game but can give Italy a challenging time in this game and should be able to compete in this Group D of the competition.
Italy lost its first game, falling 1-0 to Uruguay in what was a contested duel to start off the Italian’s U20 World Cup campaign. The European team played a very physical game against Uruguay picking up 18 fouls and three yellow cards in the encounter. The Italian goalkeeper, Andrea Zaccagno had a stellar performance and kept his team in the game with seven saves.
