Everton manager Ronald Koeman has spoken words which are going to excite fans of the club. Koeman revealed that he expects star striker Romelu Lukaku to remain at the club beyond this season.
Lukaku did not agree to sign a new deal to remain at Goodison Park earlier in the season, however Koeman did say that he does not expect the Belgian international to depart.
Koeman said, “I said before maybe you lose at one side something but I am not talking about what will happen if he does not stay next season.
“I expect that he will stay because until now I did not hear anything from the board that one club is asking about Lukaku.”
The 23-year-old Lukaku has enjoyed a stellar season, netting 24 goals thus far as well as providing six assists during 36 appearances. Lukaku will hope, however that he can improve his scoring record against elite clubs going forward.
