According to reports from The Guardian, Tottenham are scouting Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri. Along with Mario Balotelli, Seri has helped Nice impress this season, scoring six goals and providing nine assists from 31 appearances in Ligue 1.
Spurs are looking to bolster their squad during the summer in order to be competitive in the UEFA Champions League next season. Considering that they are now a team that is worthy of challenging for trophies as well as the Premiership, Seri may be open to a move.
The North London side will have to compete with Arsenal to land his signature. Nice are reportedly demanding a figure in the region of £20 million for the 25 year old.
Seri would be a good signing for Spurs, however should he join the side, he may not be certain of first team football. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have plenty of quality players that they can make use of in central midfield including Harry Winks, Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier.
