Former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins has spoken some harsh words towards West Ham star Michail Antonio, indicating that he should be content with his current status at the club.
According to reports, Antonio is looking to move to a new club during the summer, as he earns less than Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte, who arrived during the winter transfer window despite being arguably the Hammer’s best player this season.
The 27 year old has apparently rejected a new offer to remain with West Ham and is looking to leave the London Stadium.
Wilkins was critical of Antonio’s action to question the clubs board saying via Talk Sport, “He came from Nottingham Forest to a Premier League club who have looked after him extremely well. Get your head down and start playing for the club. All this business about ‘I am a bit disappointed with the board’
Should Antonio be sold, there is no doubt that there will be no shortage of teams after his signature. It will be interesting if anything happens over the summer to settle down Antonio.
