Stoke City star Charlie Adam has encouraged Ross Barkley to leave Everton. Speculation has emerged over recent weeks that the England international may leave the Toffees as he his current deal with the club expires at the end of the season and he has yet to sign a new contract.
Now Adam feels that Barkley is capable of playing for an elite club and that this will allow him to express himself more.
While speaking on BBC 5 Live, Adam said, “Everton fans hate me anyway, but for me he is 23 he needs to see what options are out there.Man United, Arsenal Chelsea. I think he’s good enough to go there.
“Maybe not Tottenham because Alli is playing so well. But he has been linked there. He needs to get out the city and go and express himself.”
Should Barkley not sign a new deal soon, he will definitely be sold during the summer and will not be short of options due to his talent.
