According to reports, French outfit Marseille are eyeing a move for Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez.
The Stade Velodrome based side are looking to boost their attacking options next season and Perez is one of the men on their radar. It remains to be seen whether Rafa Benitez would be willing to part ways with the 23-year-old.
Though the Spanish international has been unable to usurp Dwight Gayle as the Magpies first choice striker, he has scored nine goals from 33 appearances this season, which have included some vital goals.
He netted the winner against Newcastle’s fellow Championship title candidates Brighton and Hove Albion.
Perez has played in the Premier League before, boasting 13 goals in the top tier but the striker is yet to hit prime, so the Magpies may prefer not to sell as he could have a good future ahead of them. Marseille will have to make a fantastic offer if they hope to lure their target.
