Burnley defender Michael Keane, who is reportedly a target of Everton, has insisted that he will not let speculation surrounding his future become a distraction.
“It’s inevitable really, these things happen, but I’ve dealt with it all throughout the season and I won’t let it affect me,” Keane said.
The 24-year-old has been in impressive form this season and was call-up by Gareth Southgate for the England national team. He featured in the Three Lions recent games against World Champions Germany as well as for their World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
Though he is wanted by Everton, the Toffees will have to compete for his signature with Manchester United and Manchester City also reportedly being interested.
The England international will definitely want to change clubs in order to play for a team that is capable of winning trophies and in order to firmly establish himself as one of the best English defenders. It will be a matter of which club makes the best deal.
