According to TalkSport, Manchester City are eyeing a move for Tottenham defender Danny Rose. City are expected to make massive changes to their defence during the summer and Rose is one of the players on Pep Guardiola’s radar.

City will have to fork out a figure within the region of £50 million for the services of the England international. While such a sum is high, it is within their spending capabilities.

Though Rose signed a new five year deal at White Hart Lane recently, he could be set for an improved salary should he agree to switch to the Etihad Stadium.

Rose has previously spoken of his admiration for Spurs and luring him away from the club will not be an easy task. Daniel Levy of Spurs is known to strike a deal if it benefits the club well and should City offer an outrageous sum of money to the North London Club, a sale may happen.

  1. In footballing terms, it’s not in Spur’s interests to sell or Danny Roses to go. He is currently the best left back in the premier league, regardless of money who would we get to replace him? In addition, he has a very close relationship with Poch, who realises the importance of a settled back four/five. Guardiola is twitchy at City and Rose may find himself rotating, Poch is a better defensive coach and better suited to enhance Danny’s career.
