West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell has said that his club are aiming to finish as high as possible this season, which should come as a warning to Chelsea – whom the Hammers face on Monday.
As West Ham are now out of the relegation battle in ninth place and trail seventh placed Everton by 11 points, they could be forgiven for being content with what they have achieved this season –especially considering their poor star.
Cresswell however reiterated that his club will be aiming to go all out for the remainder of the season. “We’re not about to pack our suitcases, that’s for sure,” Cresswell told whufc.com,“With the lads we’ve got here, we’re not going to rest on our laurels and accept 10th or 12th position.
This admission will certainly come as good news to West Ham fans and Chelsea will also be aware that the Hammers are not a team that they can afford to take lightly.
In addition, West Ham are one of the few teams that did beat the Premier League leaders this season, recording a 2-1 win in the EFL Cup.
