Manchester United Agree to £21m Deal- Report

Depay

According to Sky Sources, Lyon have agreed to a deal to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United.

The news recently broke that The Netherlands international has been weighing his options away from Old Trafford. According to Sky sources, a fee of around £21m has been agreed between Manchester United and Lyon for the transfer.

It is also understood that Manchester United will have the buy-back option as well as sell-on option in the contract. There are also some add-on clauses, such as Lyon securing Champions League qualification, and the Dutch winger signing a new contract with them.

Depay was spotted in Lyon on Wednesday, and he might undergo medical examination on Thursday, ahead of the move to the French side.

The 22-year-old winger joined Red Devils from PSV back in 2015, under the management of Louis Van Gaal, but has been benched continuously under Jose Mourinho throughout the season. He has only featured in 8 games under Jose, with his last appearance on November 24, against Feyenoord in Europa League.

We might be hearing official news from Lyon in the coming week, subject to the medical, and with his departure we might also see some new faces at the Old Trafford.
