According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, Premier League giants Manchester United look set to sell midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to West Bromwich Albion during the current transfer window.
Manchester United splashed a sizeable £24 million to secure the services of Morgan Schneiderlin last season and considering his exploits at Southampton, many expected the Frenchman to become a key player for the Red Devils.
Schneiderlin did not enjoy the best of debut campaigns at Old Trafford though and following the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager over the summer, the 27-year-old has received hardly any playing time on the pitch so far this season.
It is clear to see that Schneiderlin is currently surplus to requirements under Mourinho and the Portuguese boss has already made it clear in no uncertain terms that he will be open to allowing the ex-Starsbourg man to leave the club in January.
Schneiderlin set to end his horror stay at United in January
A number of Premier League teams have expressed their interest in securing the services of Schneiderlin and now according to the Daily Telegraph, it has been claimed that West Bromwich Albion could be set to sign the defensive midfielder by placing a sizeable £20 million bid this month.
West Brom are already said to have placed a £18 million offer on the table for Schneiderlin recently but the bid was rejected by United as they have set a higher price tag on the out of favour French international.
Now West Brom are set to return with an improved bid for Schneiderlin and there is a strong possibility that the United outcast will soon be plying his trade at the Hawthorns.
