Barcelona take a trip to Doha, Qatar to square off against Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ahli in the Qatar Airways Cup Match of Champions on Tuesday and the Catalan giants have certainly taken the encounter very seriously, as evidenced by their strong squad travelling to the Al Gharaffa Stadium for the match.
Here is the strongest possible Barcelona lineup for the clash against Al-Ahli –
Jasper Cillessen has had regular first team football hard to come by this season and it is very likely that the Dutch international will be starting the clash on Tuesday ahead of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
At the back, Luis Enrique may well look to rest a number of his key players for the encounter and as a result, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergio Roberto are expected to be handed a place on the bench rather than the starting lineup.
In their places, Javier Mascherano, Lucas Digne and Aleix Vidal are most likely to come in. Samuel Umtiti started in the 3-0 victory for Barcelona over Osasuna during the weekend and the French international is set to retain his place in the starting lineup.
Andres Iniesta played the entire 90 minutes against Osasuna and given his recent return from injury, the veteran midfielder is likely to be starting on the bench in Qatar.
To replace Iniesta, Denis Suarez will most probably be taking his place at the middle of the park and alongside the youngster; the likes of Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets should start. Andre Gomes and Rafinha are the other players in contention while young duo of Carlos Alena and Borja could also feature.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are the star attractions for Barcelona that fans at the Al Gharaffa Stadium will be coming to watch and the trio should start on the day.
The three superstars have been in scintillating form in recent times and they should be able to give the fans an exhibition of their tremendous qualities.
