Atletico Madrid has given warning signs to Chelsea as they look forward to snatch Diego Costa, despite Conte clearly stating the importance of the Spanish International. The Mirror reports that Chelsea are firm in their decision to keep the striker, but Atletico Madrid is determined to get their man back.
Costa joined Chelsea 2 seasons ago in a £32 million deal and went on to win the Premier League in his debut season at Stamford Bridge. He has been a key figure ever since his arrival, thanks to his clinical finishing.
Atletico Madrid are reportedly also in a hunt to sign Carlos Bacca from AC Milan, but the Colombian is their second option in case they fail to snatch Diego Costa from Chelsea.
Despite Conte searching for strikers this summer, having signed Michy Batshuayi, he is desperate to keep a hold on Costa, as he realizes the talent Costa possesses in his boots. Also, Costa has accepted he is happy to stay, but Atletico Madrid believe they can convince him of a move.
