According to Sky Sports, we could be facing a potential link between Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic and Liverpool, and the deal could be worth around €30m.
The twenty-two-year-old Croatian midfielder is reportedly attracting Jurgen Klopp’s interest, and this could mean that we could be watching an incredibly strong Liverpool midfield, with Kovacic and Coutinho together as creative forces.
Although he had 34 appearances last season, most of the times Kovacic came in off the bench, and he didn’t quite have an important role last season for the Spanish club. Despite being regarded as one of the most talented young footballers in Europe, Kovacic could now change his environment and become a part of the Reds’ squad.
As much as Kovacic move seems as a secure investment, they shouldn’t rush into anything.
€30m is a big sum, and Liverpool should think twice before spending it on such a young player, because they already have a lot of bad experiences with poor transfer choices and wasted money.
