According to The Sun, Liverpool is ready to offer Jordon Ibe as part of a swap deal to sign Southampton’s striker, Sadio Mane.
The Senegalese footballer was already linked with the Reds during this week, but now it seems like it’s becoming more than just another transfer rumour. In case Liverpool is really serious about this transfer, they could decide to offer Jordon Ibe, who failed to impress during last season, despite being regarded as having one of the brightest potentials in the Merseyside club.
Currently, Mane’s price is somewhere around £30m, and this is too much for the Reds. In case Southampton decides to agree to Liverpool’s terms, they would be getting £10m + Jordon Ibe.
It’s a fact that Liverpool needs another striker, as they had some troubles scoring goals when they most needed them. However, it’s uncertain what Jordon Ibe would think of this deal, and we don’t even know if he is necessary to the Saints.
