Premier League outfit Liverpool are in pole position to secure the services of Lille star Sofiane Boufal, according to reports from Buzzsport
Liverpool missed out on a place in Europe for the upcoming season following their disappointing defeat in the final of the Europa League at the hands of Sevilla.
Boufal set for Liverpool move?
The absence from the Champions League means that Liverpool may struggle to bring in the desired high profile names to the club this summer but with manager Jurgen Klopp at the helm, many anticipate that a number of quality players will still arrive at Anfield.
Therefore it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing a host of names being linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few weeks and now according to reports emerging out of France, the Reds are close to signing Sofiane Boufal.
Boufal is a very talented young attacking midfielder who enjoyed a fine campaign last term, scoring 12 goals as well as providing 4 assists and as a result, a number of teams across Europe have expressed their interest in signing the 22-year-old.
Liverpool have been mentioned as one of the clubs interested in signing Boufal and Buzzsport claim that the Premier League giants are currently leading the race to sign the Moroccan international.
