Match Preview

The team coached by Dunga seems to be the only team out of the sixteen participating in the Copa America to not dedicate significant importance toward the competition. The ‘verdeamarelha’ would easily be a title favorite if their team was composed of stars like Neymar, David Luiz, or Marcelo to name a few. Yet, the reality is that Brazil will compete with a talented, yet experimental side. Therefore, while they are favored to reach the next round, Ecuador is slightly favorite to win Group B.

Ecuador enters the competition with one significant injury, which is of their forward Felipe Caicedo. Nonetheless, the team coached by Gustavo Quinteros has a power attack composed of Enner Valencia, Miller Bolaños, and Jefferson Montero who will give the Brazilian defenders a very difficult match. This Saturday, Ecuador must play a perfect match to defeat Brazil’s B squad, which in turn will push them a step closer to the quarterfinals.
