While speaking to the media at Cobham ahead of the game against Liverpool, Hiddink praised the work which Jurgen Klopp has done to build an effective Liverpool side. “They have a skilful team but also a strong team,” said Hiddink.
Hiddink has appreciated the work-rate of the Liverpool team since Klopp has taken over. The Dutchman recalls Liverpool’s game against Dortmund in the Europa League when they came back from behind and secured a spectacular win over the German side.
Hiddink admitted it will be a tough game for them as Klopp’s side are energetic in their approach. “They can be very resilient; they were down against Dortmund and made it up in the last second,” added Hiddink.
The Blues’ boss has shown full respect for Klopp’s side. This will be Hiddink’s second to last game before he bids farewell to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. He will be desperate to secure wins from remaining 2 games and end his stint on a high point.
