The Toluca vs Sao Paulo Copa Libertadores match will take place this Wednesday, May 4, 2016 (3:15 PM Pacific) at the Estadio Nemesio Diez. This second-leg match will decide which of the two teams reach the quarterfinals to face the winner between Racing Club and Atletico Mineiro.

Toluca‘s campaign collapsed in all aspects within the past month. The’diablos rojos’ were eliminated from the Liga MX and lost last week in the first-leg against Sao Paulo 0-4. Toluca’s sad ending to this semester will most likely be fulfilled on Wednesday night as it is unexpected that the ‘chorizeros’ defeat the Brazilian side by five goals. Consequently, this game will not only indicate Toluca’s exit from the Libertadores, but also coach’s Jose Cardozo‘s tenure with the team as he mentioned his last game with the team will be after their Libertadores exit.

Sao Paulo played wonderfully last week when they scored four good goals to easily defeat the Mexican side. The team coached by Edgardo Bauza is inches away from reaching the quarterfinals as they face Toluca who’s morale is at a low. Nonetheless, the game will be fought offensively by the Mexican team meaning Sao Paulo will most likely use counter-attacking tactics to defend their four goal lead.
