If it wasn’t over already, Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title ended officially after a draw against Crystal Palace. The Gunners now sit 13 points adrift of league leaders Leicester with their season well and truly over.
For large quarters of the game, the Gunners were undoubtedly the better team. However, despite scoring at the stroke of half time courtesy of a brilliant Alexis Sanchez header, they weren’t able to translate their dominance in terms of goals.
Thus, when Crystal Palace got back in the game after a Yannick Bolasie goal in the 81st minute, there were muted groans inside the Emirates, as they had seen it coming. Now that their title bid is over, the Gunners need to look below them in order to secure a Champions League finish.
Thus, after today’s stalemate which has left them at the 4th spot, the Gunners were roasted by the Twitter users for bottling yet another year.
Although the Arsenal fans might tell you that they might have seen this type of performance coming, another thing which was bound to greet them after today’s capitulation is this tweet…
Now, just in case you were wondering how Arsenal threw away their title bid, this tweet might clear your mind …

Arsenal are on course to break a Premier League record, however, it isn’t so pleasant
1 – Arsenal have won just one London derby in league competition this season; their fewest since the 1963/64 campaign (1). Taxi.
