Arsenal are preparing a £20million swoop for Leicester City star N’Golo Kante as the trio of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky are set to depart, according to reports from TMW
It looks like Arsenal are set to go through another season without claiming the Premier League title and many have pointed their finger at manager Arsene Wenger for the failure as the Frenchman simply did not spend enough in the transfer windows to strengthen his squad.
While many are calling for Wenger to leave this summer, it is expected that the veteran manager will carry on for a final season and he will pull out all the stops in order to deliver the Premier League title which has proven to be so elusive for the Gunners over the last decade.
As a result, Arsenal are expected to go through a major overhaul of their squad and a host of players are set to arrive as well as depart the Emirates Stadium over the summer.
Kante wanted by Arsenal
Among the players touted to leave Arsenal, the veteran trio of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky are certainties to be offloaded and the departures of such experienced players will leave a big hole in the Gunners’ midfield.
Wenger is mindful of this fact and according to reports from TMW, it has been claimed that the Gunners’ boss is now planning a swoop for Leicester City star N’Golo Kante.
Kante has proven to be a revelation since his move from Caen to Leicester City over the summer and the Frenchman has been the unsung hero behind the Foxes’ unexpected Premier League title challenge this season.
Kante’s performances have caught the attention of Wenger and it has been claimed that the Arsenal boss will be ready to splash as much as £20million in order to land the services of the 24-year old in the summer.
