Following two fine results against Liverpool and Southampton in the Premier League, Manchester United now turn their attention to the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
With the Red Devils having gone two seasons without a trophy, the fans will surely be hopeful that their side can end their drought this term and the Capital One Cup will be a good tournament to do so.
Manager Louis van Gaal is likely to make a raft of changes to his squad for the clash though and it will be interesting to see which players feature on the night.
Here is the Probable Strongest Possible Lineup for Manchester United against Ipswich Town –
David De Gea has been in sensational form since returning back to favour and it seems like the Spaniard will keep his place in the starting lineup against Ipswich as well.
Sergio Romero has looked shaky whenever given the opportunity to start and it will be interesting to see if van Gaal decides to favour the Argentinean over De Gea on the night.
The Manchester United backline looked very shaky against Southampton and it looks like van Gaal will be making a host of changes at the back on Wednesday night.
Antonio Valencia is likely to come in at right back for Matteo Darmian while Marcos Rojo should continue at left back in the absence of Luke Shaw.
Chris Smalling is set to retain his place in the starting eleven but Paddy McNair could make a start in place of the shaky Daley Blind. Phil Jones still remains out with injury.
In midfield Bastian Schweinsteiger should come in for Michael Carrick while Morgan Schneiderlin will be partnered alongside the German international.
In the wide attacking positions, Ashley Young is likely to replace Memphis Depay on the left while Andreas Pereira could be handed his first start of the season on the opposite flank to replace Juan Mata.
Wayne Rooney started in the withdrawn attacking position against Southampton but Ander Herrera is likely to replace the out of form United captain on Wednesday night.
Anthony Martial has been quite a revelation since his arrival to United and the teenager should lead the line once again in midweek.
James Wilson has not featured prominently this season but the youngster might be handed an opportunity in the Capital One Cup.
